At Teesside Nautical Studies
we recognises that power boating can be a potentially lethal sport. We also
recognise that part of the excitement of power boating comes from the risk
its self. We aim to keep that risk to an absolute minimum, yet gain the
maximum enjoyment from the sport.

As the largest provider of Powerboat courses in the North of England, we provide courses to Schools, Youth Groups, Commercial and Industrial organisations and Individuals. | ||
| Courses are run 'on demand' in a variety of craft ranging from a little 3.0 m R.I.B. (rigid inflatable boat) with a 10hp outboard to large sea going R.I.B.'s capable of giving the ultimate 'white nuckle ride' at 40 mph. In addition to the R.I.B.'s we have a Plymouth Pilot 6.0m displacement craft and a dedicated safety boat. |

Driving powerboats requires self discipline, good hand/eye co-ordination, the ability to understand verbal instructions and a measure of common sense. It can be a great confidence booster and helps to develop communication skills.
| We can offer powerboat taster sessions, full R.Y.A. or specialty powerboat courses or sessions at sea in conjunction with M.V.Northumbria as a fun day out. |
